Tier 3 response is an international source response for an oil spill of over 5,000 barrels. Generally this service will only be mobilised once it becomes clear that the combination of in-country Tier 1 and Tier 2 resources will fail to fully combat the incident’s full potential.

LSES is presently establishing Tier 3 “Hub” Centres, which will significantly augment our classic “in-country” Tier 2 Centres; in addition, this will further enhance our Tier 1 capability. Fundamentally, this initiative will draw Tier 3 Centres into Region, Tier 2 Centres into Country and offer the individual marine facing clients a fully integrated and professional oil spill response service. This simple but revolutionary concept will offer a new era of seamless tiered oil spill preparedness and response. Tier 3 contracted members will benefit from guaranteed service level agreements assuring: 24/7 call-out, competent responders, well maintained state of the art equipment and response packages designed to combat even the largest environmental catastrophes that exist in your Region.
