LSES CHAIRS MIDDLE EAST EMERGENCY RESPONSE SUMMIT DECEMBER 15-16 2008, DUBAI

James Thornborough, Vice President LSES was invited by IQPC to help develop and chair a 2 day event billed as a Middle East Emergency Response Summit December 15-16, 2008 in Dubai. The exact title of the conference was Emergency Response Management for the Hydrocarbon Industry. The Conference brought together emergency response discipline experts from across the Gulf Region and covered topics ranging through fire, oil spills, security and biodiversity. Key Note speakers included the Crisis Management Team Leader for ADNOC, and the Emergency Response Coordinator for Kuwait Oil Company. The broad scope of the conference addressed both classic and innovative methods to prevent accidents, and to avoid harm to people, the environment or property. The conference was an excellent balance of networking, informative papers and workshop discussion exercises.
