Lamor Swire Environmental Solutions welcomes its new Operations Manager

Lamor Swire Environmental Solutions is delighted to welcome Rob Self to the Company. Rob has joined LSES as the Operations Manager based in Dubai.

Rob has considerable knowledge in the oil spill response industry having worked with Oil Spill Response (OSR) for the past 13 years. Most recently Rob was OSR’s base manager in Bahrain, he therefore knows the Middle East region very well.

Rob joins LSES at a very interesting time both for the company and the industry. LSES’s regional and international profile has never been higher with the Company recently partnering the Middle East region’s leading salvor, Mubarak Marine, in a major wreck removal in Ajman Port, U.A.E. in June; supporting Swire Salvage in their high profile response to the Bunga Kelena 3 and MV Waily collision and subsequent oil spill in Singapore in May; and, most notably, LSES has sold over US$2m worth of equipment to BP (through Lamor) to assist in the on-going response to the Deepwater Horizon incident in the Gulf of Mexico in July.

The impact of the Deepwater Horizon incident is, and will continue to be, a “game changer” for the offshore oil and gas industry. Scrutiny (whether it be from governments, individuals or internal sources) on oil facing companies’ preparedness towards oil spill response has never been greater. With the addition of Rob Self to Lamor Swire Environmental Solutions’ team the company is better prepared to respond to clients’ needs than ever before.

Rob’s contact details are:

Email: rob.self@lamorswire.com
Tel: +971 4 321 2022

The LSES 24 / 7 response line remains the same: +971 50 65 64 900

In August Tom Campbell left Lamor Swire Environmental Solutions for pastures new. The company would like to thank Tom for all of his hard work over the past 2 years and wish him and his family all the very best in their new ventures.
