LSES ARABIAN GULF OIL SPILL RESPONSE CENTRE OPENED

On 15th October 2008 the Chairman of Lamor Swire Environmental Solutions Pte Limited, Mr. Brian Townsley, officially opened the company’s first regional oil spill response centre based in Jebel Ali, Dubai, U.A.E. The opening ceremony was witnessed by over 50 colleagues, clients and associates.

To celebrate the opening of the centre and in order to Highlight LSES’s capabilities, the 50 guests were given guided tours around all of the company’s equipment and provided with live displays of equipment deployment. Guests were also given presentations on LSES’s intermodal logistics chain management: from the warehouse partnership with Inchcape Shipping Services to the emergency aircraft uplift with Air Charter Service. At the same time as the guests were being shown the equipment and presentations they also witnessed the load out of LSES’s first major contract with 2 of the company’s 42 pre-packaged oil spill response kits commencing their journey from Jebel Ali to West Africa.
