Lamor Swire Environmental Solutions (Pte) Limited [LSES] is a joint venture company between Lamor AB and Swire Pacific Offshore Operations (Pte) Limited. LSES synergizes the core skill sets of Lamor, a world class leader in oil spill response equipment, and Swire Pacific Offshore (SPO), a global leader in the ownership and management of offshore supply vessels. This union of two innovative industry leaders has created a global enterprise that will provide the most complete, modern and cost effective access to turn-key oil spill preparation and response services available in the world today.

The capabilities of LSES are threefold:

• The rental of Oil Spill Response Equipment either through a retainer system and / or through bespoke contracts on the basis of a specified time charter agreement
• The housing of a Tier 3 Rapid Response Centre (the first is based in Dubai) which, in the case of an emergency, is able to reach all countries in the Middle East and Subcontinent within 48 hours
• The promotion of awareness and reaction capabilities in oil spill response through dedicated training programmes tailor made for specific clients and through information disseminated through broader based publications

Commenting on the establishment of the new Joint Venture:
